Gabriel Magalhães
Arsenal's central defender Gabriel Magalhães (27) is a major doubt for the upcoming North London derby after scans confirmed he has suffered a muscle injury in his right thigh. The centre-back was forced off during Brazil’s 2–0 win at the Emirates on Saturday, leaving the pitch in visible discomfort.
On Sunday, the Brazilian FA confirmed that imaging tests revealed a thigh muscle injury, ruling Gabriel out of Tuesday’s friendly against Tunisia in Lille. Gabriel will remain in London for further assessment.
Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed regret over the injury, explaining that the defender had “a problem with his adductor” and that further evaluation would determine the severity. Ancelotti added: “We are really sorry for this… I hope he can recover well and soon.” (Source: The Mirror)

🎙️|Mikel Arteta: "Gabi unfortunately picked up an injury with the Brazil national team and he's going to be out for weeks," our boss said in his pre-match press conference. "We need to have another scan next Wednesday, and we'll have the timeline probably much clearer than we have at the moment.
"It's clearly a blow because he's our leader in our backline and, to me, it's never a positive thing. The good thing is that we have very good options and we need to stand up now and do the job." (Source: Arsenal)

🎙️|Mikel Arteta: “He is pushing hard, as he always does... He's evolving really well - doing pitch sessions - so he's not too far. We have to see in the last stages of that rehab how he progresses. But we are quite positive about it.'” (Source: Arsenal)
