Martin Ødegaard - knee
Arsenal midfielder Martin Ødegaard (26) as sustained a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury to his left knee during the club’s 2-0 victory over West Ham.
The injury occurred following a collision with Crysencio Summerville in the first half. Although Ødegaard initially tried to continue, he was forced off before the 30-minute mark and later left the stadium wearing a knee brace. Arsenal confirmed the injury and announced that he has been withdrawn from Norway’s upcoming matches.
At present, the club medical staff will continue assessing and treating Ødegaard during the international break “with the aim of a return to action as soon as possible.” Arsenal have not provided a definitive recovery timeline, but are optimistic the layoff will be counted in weeks rather than months.
