The veteran midfielder, making his first start of the season, was forced off in the 64th minute after feeling discomfort following an awkward landing while contesting a header.

Manager Marco Silva confirmed after the match that the issue appears to be not too serious, describing it as a knock to the back. “Tom felt something in his back when he jumped for one ball,” Silva explained. “It doesn’t look so serious — it was a knock, but he wasn’t feeling good.
