Injury

Ben Doak - hamstring

21 November 2025 by Thomas Anderson

Bournemouth midfielder Ben Doak (20) has suffered a significant hamstring injury while on international duty with Scotland and is expected to face a long spell on the sidelines. Andoni Iraola confirmed ahead of Bournemouth’s match against West Ham that Doak’s injury is “a big, big hamstring injury,” severe enough that the club is consulting a surgeon to determine whether surgery is required.

Doak will be out for several months, a major setback after previously missing half of last season during his loan spell at Middlesbrough. Iraola described the situation as “very disappointing” for the young midfielder, especially as Scotland had just secured qualification for their first World Cup since 1998.
