Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones (25) was forced off with an apparent injury during Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa. The issue arose in the second half, leading to Jones being replaced by Rio Ngumoha.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, manager Arne Slot said the midfielder “asked to be taken off but walked off instead of needing a lot of treatment,” adding that the team will “have to wait and see” how serious the injury is.
