Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite (23) has suffered a hamstring injury in training (Source: The Bobble).

🎙️| David Moyes: "Jarrad is getting closer but he's not quite there yet – but he's certainly getting closer and hopefully we get him back because he's a huge player for us. He's a player we value highly and someone we have lots of hopes for, so we're looking forward to getting him back.

"I've no idea [when he'll be back], at the moment, but I think we'll be a few weeks before we're at that stage." (Source: Everton)

"Fine," said Moyes, when asked about Branthwaite's rehabilitation. "He'll not be available for Monday, neither is Merlin. Both of them are out."

Asked whether Branthwaite has resumed full training, Moyes added: "Not at the moment. We're expecting him back shortly but not yet." (Source: Everton)

Branthwaite has experienced a complication in his recovery from a hamstring injury. Following specialist consultation, it has been determined the defender will undergo a surgical procedure tomorrow to address the issue. Branthwaite will commence a structured rehabilitation programme under the supervision of the Club’s medical team following the operation. (Source: Everton)
